I’m Casonna, a freelance designer and seamstress since 1991. I bring decades of hands-on experience to custom garment design and to teaching others how to sew.

My classes are about you becoming confident in your skill and understanding of the sewing machine, garment construction, fabric behavior, and problem solving.

From your vision to your moment.

A custom garment begins with you. From the first conversation to the final fitting, we work together to bring your ideas to life, with careful attention to shape, fit, fabric, and every finishing detail.

Consultation fee: $100 · Non-refundable. The fee is credited toward the purchase price of your custom garment. If you decide not to proceed beyond the consultation, the fee is forfeited and will not be refunded.

  1. Consultation & measurements

    At our initial meeting, I take all of your measurements. We discuss your design ideas, colors, and fabrics, and walk through the fitting and creation process so you know what to expect.

  2. First fitting: shape & silhouette

    We focus on the silhouette and how each part fits your body. Sometimes I create a muslin sample—a test garment—to refine the shape before working in your chosen fabric. We discuss your preferred length and note the small details that make the design yours.

  3. Second fitting: your actual garment

    You try on the actual piece being created. Together, we review its fit and all remaining details, making sure we have captured the overall look you envisioned and identifying any adjustments needed.

  4. Final fitting & pickup

    The third fitting is usually the final fitting. We confirm the length, check that any requested details and adjustments have been completed, and carefully inspect the finished piece together. Once everything is ready, you can take your custom creation home; pickup may also be arranged separately.

Each custom piece is individual. The fitting process may vary with the design and the adjustments needed.
